How much PvP data exists
Templar kit numbers for PvP
Templar is the only pure tank on the roster, with 10 multi-target attacks and 7 skills that reach 20 m. For PvP the sources lean on sieges: MetaBot's Abyss kit analysis rates Templar, Cleric and Chanter as valuable there. That is a role verdict from kit analysis, not a measured result. Aion 2 Templar PvP stigma swaps
Stigmas that sources treat as PvP picks, checked against how many top Templars wear them in the armory sample.
| Stigma | Why | Named by | In our sample | Avg level |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Noble Armor | MetaBot labels it a PvP swap. GamesFuze runs it always. | MetaBot, GamesFuze | 63% | 9.6 |
| Taunt | GamesFuze lists it as a PvP pick, while PvE guides list it as core. | GamesFuze, MetaBot | 60% | 7.6 |
This is the class where sources disagree most about PvP stigmas. MetaBot labels Noble Armor a PvP swap and GamesFuze runs it always. GamesFuze lists Taunt as a PvP pick while PvE guides list it as core. In our sample Noble Armor is already the most equipped Templar stigma, so the armory cannot tell a PvP swap from a standard pick. What top players run
Stigma rates for top Templars, who play both PvE and PvP, so this is a starting point and not a PvP set. Source: official AION 2 character pages, sampled 2026-10-26, n=200.

Where top players put skill levels
The actives top Templars level highest, among skills at least 90% of them equip. The armory has no rotation order, so this shows investment and not a chain. Source: official AION 2 character pages, sampled 2026-10-26, n=200.

Templar matchups from the kit counts
Editorial reading. Each row rests on the kit counts named in it and on MetaBot's opinion tiers. No source publishes class versus class results. Editorial
| Against | Reading | Counts behind it |
|---|---|---|
| Assassin | Duel versus siege | MetaBot ranks Assassin top for duels. Templar's sourced strengths are group roles, so any gap is likelier one on one than in a siege. This is a reading of the role labels, not a result. |
| Cleric | Siege partner | Templar is the only pure tank and Cleric the only pure healer, and MetaBot rates both for sieges. It is the clearest role split on the roster, which is why our class notes call Cleric the natural partner in a long fight. |
| Sorcerer | Reach | 7 Templar skills reach 20 m against Sorcerer's 19, so Templar has a ranged answer and Sorcerer has far more of them. Sorcerer has no Max HP passive. Templar stat orders conflict between sources, so we give no number. |
What changes for PvP
- Level 16 Defiance and Abyss rank. Defiance removes Stun, Knockdown, Airborne, Grab, Frost and Fear and gives 5 seconds of immunity on a 60 second cooldown. Abyss rank buffs run from 1.2% to 5.0% PvP Damage Boost and Tolerance. Both are in the PvP guide. Client-data Source
- Daevanion skill nodes. The four earlier boards add +1 level to 12 named skills (Legend nodes) and to Warding Shield, Punishing Benediction, Enhance Health, Ironclad Defense, Guarding Seal, Impact Hit, Block Pain, Survival Willpower, Fury and Insulting Roar (Rare nodes). See the Templar Daevanion route. Official Source
- Azphel. The level 45 board holds PvP Damage Boost and PvP Damage Tolerance corner stats and no skill nodes. Client-data Source
- Gear. We have no sourced PvP stat order or PvP-only gear list for Templar.
Templar PvP mistakes
- Treating Taunt as mandatory in PvP. GamesFuze files it under PvP and PvE guides file it as core, and it is not universal in the sample either.
- Copying a stat order. Playhub puts Accuracy first, then HP and Defense, while GamesFuze lists Defense Increase and Damage Tolerance first. Two sources conflict, so we repeat neither.
Patch impact log
Not confirmed yet
- Whether Templar's siege rating shows up in any measured result. MetaBot's is kit analysis.
- Whether Noble Armor stays always-on once the mode changes. Only GamesFuze says it does.
- Win rates or measured PvP results for Templar. None are published.
Aion 2 Templar PvP build FAQ
What is the best Templar PvP build in Aion 2?
Start from the PvE set and look at Noble Armor and Taunt. These are community picks and PvP data is thin.
Is Noble Armor a Templar PvP stigma?
MetaBot labels it a PvP swap and GamesFuze runs it always. It is also the most worn Templar stigma in our armory sample, so the sample cannot confirm it as a PvP-only pick.
Why do guides rate Templar for sieges?
MetaBot's Abyss kit analysis rates Templar, Cleric and Chanter as valuable in sieges. Templar is the only pure tank. It is analysis from the kit, not win rates.
